Why was this division created?
This division was created to support all members and nonmembers in their academic courses and the MCAT. Pre-med courses are one of the most important requirements for a successful medical school application and this division is here to help polish those topics to help members ace their courses.
How can members and nonmembers take advantage of this division?
Members and nonmembers will be able to attend group tutoring sessions which will be held on a regular basis at the USF library or virtually. Group sessions will be a place for students to get help on homework or study for their exams. Additionally, paid members have the ability to request 1-on-1 tutoring sessions with our expert tutors who have succeeded in their pre-med courses.
ONE ON ONE TUTORING
PAMSA will be offering one-on-one virtual tutoring during the fall semester for all paid members via Microsoft Teams starting on September 8th. We will be offering tutoring in a variety of major science prerequisite courses. Members must book a 1-on-1 session at least 48 hours in advance and members can start booking a session on September 1st. One of our tutoring directors will reach out to members via email within 24 hours with confirmed appointment details. If members need to cancel a tutoring session, they must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise, members can face a penalty of not being allowed to sign up for a tutoring session for 2 weeks. Cancellation requests made less than 24 hours in advance will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Members are limited to two tutoring sessions per week. GROUP SESSIONS
We will be conducting group review sessions open to both members and non-members for different pre-medical prerequisite courses. These sessions will review content for upcoming exams on these courses so you can ace those exams this semester! More information regarding these exam review sessions will be coming out soon so check here and our social media for upcoming sessions.
