Overview

Pre-Med AMSA is working closely with the USF Health Advisors, as Mr. Anthony Iannelli is our organization advisor. These individuals have the information and resources of health professions including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, optometry, occupational therapy, and athletic training. They will teach you how to understand the comprehensive requirements of a competitive application and the know how of the application navigation process. Knowledgeable in both academic and non-academic factors of an application.

Main Advisors

The Main Health Professions Office has 2 full-time advisors to aide students in all majors with course selection, career advisement, pre-health requirements, recommendations and more: Dr. Melvin James and Mr. Anthony Iannelli. They are located on the 2nd floor of the USF Library in LIB 231.

 

 

 

 

Health Professions Certified Advisors

After attending a Group Advising session, students in select majors have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the Health Professions Certified Advisor in their major area.

Judy Genshaft Honors College Pre-Health Advisors

Within the Honors College there are three academic advisors that help pre-health students within their college. If you are an Honors Student, you will be able to also meet with one of the Pre-Health Honors Advisors.

Organization Advisor - Anthony Iannelli, M.Ed.

Anthony Iannelli Jr. is from Melbourne, FL and is an alumnus of the University of South Florida (USF). Anthony completed his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a minor in General Business Administration at USF. In addition, Anthony earned his Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in College Student Affairs at USF. He has worked across the USF campus in areas including Student Government (SG), New Student Connections (NSC), the Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement (CLCE), the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) and the Transitional Advising Center (TRAC). He joined the Chemistry Department as an Academic Advisor in January 2013 and has advised for the Division of Health Professions since February 2015. Anthony is an avid sports fan. His favorite teams are the Orlando Magic, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays and the USF Bulls.
