If you agree with the above statement, you’re in luck because you can find these perks at Pre-Med AMSA’s general body meetings that occur bi-weekly on Mondays. Believe it or not, there are even more benefits hidden throughout these meetings. Here are some insider tips to get the most out of PAMSA’s general body meetings.

Ask Questions

There are eight divisions in PAMSA here to help you reach your full potential and to help you prepare to apply to medical school. Don’t be afraid to reach out to one of the many officers and executive board members. They are here to offer the support that you need throughout your pre-medical journey!

Meet Other Members of PAMSA

Get to know your fellow PAMSA members. Most of these individuals that attend the general body meetings have similar interests or career goals. You can use this aspect to your advantage by socializing and collaborating with your peers who have also have a passion for medicine.

Talk to the Guest Speaker After Their Presentation

Usually, the guest speaker will open the room to questions after he or she is done speaking. Use this opportunity to pose open-ended questions that you have always been wanting to ask! There is no better person to ask pre-medical or medical related questions than a doctor who has already gone through the process themselves!

Find the PowerPoint on the PAMSA Website

If you missed a few details or want to review the information that was presented by the officers and executive board members, the power point presentation can be found on the PAMSA website. Link: https://www.usfpamsa.net/meeting-minutes
